Hire a Football Legend
Famous footballers, past and present, joining corporate dinners, awards nights, hospitality days and private celebrations. One conversation sets the brief; we manage the approach, the fee and the day itself.
Hire a Football Legend
A football legend walking into the room does something no other guest can. Conversation stops, phones come out, and the evening becomes the one everyone talks about for years. We arrange famous footballers, past and present, for corporate dinners, awards nights, hospitality days, brand campaigns and private celebrations across the United Kingdom and Europe, discreetly and through one point of contact.
In plain terms: hiring a football legend starts from £20,000, and a name is usually confirmed within two to three weeks of your first call. This is the tier your guests grew up watching, from World Cup and Premier League winners to the pundits they hear every weekend.
Footballers for Hire: Every Format
- Personal appearance: a legend joining your dinner, party or launch to meet guests, sign shirts and pose for photographs
- After-dinner speaker: dressing-room stories, big-match memories and a question session for corporate dinners and club events
- Hospitality and matchday hosting: a famous face in your box or at your table, with the game explained by someone who played in it
- Coaching session or kickabout: a masterclass or five-a-side with a former professional, for clients, teams or a football-mad birthday
- Brand ambassador: a footballer fronting a campaign, product launch or season-long partnership
Whether you want to hire a footballer for a single evening or build a whole hospitality day around them, we arrange the right name for the audience and the occasion. Corporate briefs run through our corporate celebrity experiences service, and hospitality formats are covered in our guide to celebrity corporate hospitality.
What It Costs to Hire a Football Legend
Fees follow the player’s profile, the format and the time spent with your guests. A respected former professional appearing for an evening sits at the lower end of the range; a World Cup winner or a current household name sits at the upper end, and global icons go beyond it. Travel, accommodation and any filming or usage rights are set out separately and in writing before you commit. Our celebrity hire price guide shows where every category falls, and our cost to hire a professional footballer guide goes into the detail for football.
How to Book a Footballer Through Us
- Tell us the occasion: the date, the venue, the audience and what you want the footballer to do
- Receive a shortlist: names who are genuinely available for your date, with a note on what each would bring
- We make the introduction: the fee negotiation and the contract are handled for you
- Brief the appearance: a planning call so the stories land with your guests and the format runs to time
- We manage the day: timings, travel, security and the running order, with one point of contact throughout
Matching the Player to the Occasion
The right footballer depends on who is in the room. A dinner full of lifelong supporters of one club wants a name from that club’s history; a mixed corporate audience is better served by a World Cup or England name that everyone recognises; a family celebration often wants the player the guest of honour idolised as a child. We ask about the guests, the tone and the rest of the evening before we suggest anyone. Our most requested footballers for private events guide gives a sense of the names clients ask for, and our how to book a famous footballer guide walks through the process step by step.

Hire a Football Legend for Your Event: Common Questions
How much does it cost to hire a football legend?
Football legends arranged through us start from £20,000. Personal appearances, after-dinner talks and hospitality days start from £20,000, and World Cup winners and current household names command more. The fee moves with the player’s profile, the format, the location and whether any filming or usage is attached. Every quote is prepared individually and set out in full before you commit; our celebrity hire price guide covers the ranges in more detail.
How do I hire a footballer for an event?
Tell us the date, the venue, the audience and what you want the player to do. We come back with a shortlist of footballers who are genuinely available, make the introduction and negotiate the fee on your behalf, then manage the brief, the contract and the day itself. You are under no obligation at the shortlist stage.
Which footballers can I book?
We arrange former internationals, Premier League and European club legends, World Cup winners, current professionals in their off-season windows and the pundits and commentators your guests hear every week. Because every experience is arranged privately we do not publish names; once we understand the occasion we make specific recommendations.
Can I hire a footballer for a private party or birthday?
Yes. Birthdays, anniversaries and family celebrations are a regular part of what we arrange, from a legend joining the party to a kickabout or coaching session for a football-mad guest of honour.
Can a football legend give an after-dinner speech?
Yes, and many are outstanding at it. Dressing-room stories, big-match memories and a hosted question session are the formats corporate dinners ask for most, and we brief the player on your audience beforehand so the material lands.
Can I book a current player or only retired professionals?
Both. Retired legends have far more availability; current players are possible in international breaks and the off-season, and their club commitments always come first.
How far in advance should I book?
Three to six months gives the widest choice, and dates around major tournaments and the end of the season are settled early. A name is usually confirmed within two to three weeks of your first call once the brief is agreed.
Do you arrange football hospitality and matchday experiences?
Yes. A legend hosting your box, joining your table or walking your guests through the game is one of the most requested formats; see our guide to celebrity corporate hospitality for how those days are run.
Can a footballer appear virtually?
Yes. A hosted question session or short talk over video works well for distributed teams and international audiences; see our virtual celebrity experiences for how those are arranged.
Will the booking stay private?
Yes. Discretion is standard, non disclosure agreements are arranged wherever they are wanted, and nothing is published or promoted without your permission.
