Jonny Wilkinson is a former rugby union player from England. He is one of the best-known rugby stars in the world. A fly-half by trade, Jonny Wilkinson played for Toulon and Newcastle Falcons at club level and represented England and the British and Irish Lions on the international stage. He is widely remembered for scoring the winning drop goal at the 2003 Rugby World Cup Final. Throughout an illustrious career, Jonny Wilkinson played twelves seasons in the English Premiership with the Newcastle Falcons, before moving to Toulon in 2009. Winning 91 caps for England, Jonny Wilkinson was a key member of the England squad which won the 2003 Rugby World Cup. He also was an integral member of England's 2007 Rugby World Cup campaign. Jonny Wilkinson retired from professional rugby in 2014. He was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame two years later. Jonny Wilkinson currently works as a sports pundit for ITV Sports, working throughout the channel's coverage of the Six Nations Championship and Rugby World Cup.
