About Michel Roux Jr
Michel Roux Jr was born into the family that changed British dining. Trained in Paris under masters of the classical repertoire, he took over Le Gavroche from his father Albert in 1991 and led the two-Michelin-starred institution for more than three decades, holding it among the most admired dining rooms in the world.
On screen he has been the exacting, courteous face of MasterChef: The Professionals and a fixture of British food broadcasting. His classical French training runs through everything he touches: precision, patience and standards that do not bend, whether the audience is one table or one continent.
