On the day the chef and a small brigade arrive several hours ahead to prep, having checked your kitchen in advance and brought in anything it lacks. During service the chef cooks and hosts: introducing each course, answering questions and, if you want it, running a short demonstration or a question session between courses.

- Celebration dinner: a birthday, anniversary or engagement for twenty to forty, with the chef hosting the room as well as cooking for it

Fees start from £20,000 for a single evening and rise with the chef’s profile, the guest count and the location. A tasting dinner for eight in London sits at a different level to a three-day residency in the Alps, and a chef with a current television series commands more than one whose fame is a decade old. The fee covers the chef’s time, the planning, the brigade and the sourcing; wine, hired equipment and travel outside the chef’s home region are quoted separately and shown in full. Most private dinners happen in the client’s own home, and a domestic kitchen is almost always workable once the chef has seen it or talked it through. What does a private dinner cost?
From £20,000 for a single evening. Dinners for six to twenty guests start from £20,000, and the final fee depends on the chef’s profile, the guest count and the location. The fee covers the chef, the planning and the brigade; wine, hired equipment and travel are quoted separately and shown in full.
How many guests can a celebrity chef cook for at home?
Anything from an intimate table of six to a marquee dinner for a hundred and more. Above forty the chef usually leads a larger brigade and hosts rather than plates every course personally, and we plan the kitchen and the service around the number.
Will the chef cook in my own kitchen?
Almost always, yes. Domestic kitchens are workable once the chef has seen the space or talked it through, and where equipment is missing we bring it in rather than change the menu.
Can I choose the menu?
The menu is designed with you. A planning call or a tasting session sets the direction, and dietary requirements, cultural considerations, specific dishes and wine pairings are all part of that conversation.
How far ahead should I book a private dinner?
Three to six months gives a real choice of names for a specific date. Shorter notice is often possible, particularly midweek, but December is usually settled by early autumn.
Will the chef host the table as well as cook?
That is usually the point of booking a celebrity chef rather than a private cook. The chef introduces each course, takes questions and, if you want it, runs a short demonstration between courses. A quieter, kitchen-only presence is also available.
